Frequently asked questions
Why talk therapy?
Talk therapy is a powerful tool for discovering the importance of reaching your full potential in all areas of our lives. In my practice, healing is not just about listening, it's about being heard and addressing what holds them back. It provides the dedicated space you need to process difficult emotions and confidently step into your next chapter.
Are sessions in-person or online?
My practice is 100% telehealth. I provide secure, virtual therapy sessions exclusively for clients residing in California and Louisiana. This allows you to comfortably integrate therapy into your schedule from the privacy of your own home.
Who do you typically work with?
I specialize in working with adults and couples, with a specific focus on working with gay men. My clients are usually private pay individuals experiencing difficulty with transition from one stage to the next in their life. Please note that I only work with adults and do not see minors.
Do you take insurance?
I am a private pay practice. This means I do not bill insurance companies directly. This allows us to keep our work completely confidential and tailor your treatment specifically to your goals without restrictions dictated by insurance providers.
What should I expect during my first session?
Our first session is about establishing a secure connection. I am very conscious about the work I do with each client. We will spend this initial meeting getting to know each other, discussing what you are currently experiencing, and outlining a path toward acceptance and an ability to navigate your phase of life.
How do I know if we are a good fit?
The right fit is essential for effective therapy. I strive to create a space that is compassion, open and connected. We will likely be a great fit if you are among the individuals or couples motivated to do the work and are ready to overcome experiencing grief or resistance to their next phase.
